Instructor Biography - Rocio Alonso Lorenzo



Rocío Alonso Lorenzo is currently a Senior Researcher at CLEAR - Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results for Brazil and Lusophone Africa (FGV - Getulio Vargas Foundation, São Paulo), where she teaches courses on Qualitative Policy and Program Evaluation and collaborates as researcher and consultant in several mixed method policy and program evaluation projects. She holds a PhD in Anthropology from Cornell University, USA, a Post-doctorate degree in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo, Brazil and a Licentiate degree in Geography and History from Seville University, Spain. She has experience in academic and non-academic research and consultancy. She is interested in gender and race relations, applied anthropology, qualitative policy and program evaluation, human rights, affirmative action and corporate social responsibility. She has published articles in academic journals on affirmation action, human rights, corporate social responsibility, cross-sector partnerships, comparative ethnography, legal pluralism, anti-racism, feminism and domestic violence.
