2020 Program Information

IPDET refers to evaluators with none or only few prior knowledge and experience in evaluation, as well as experienced evaluators, commissioners, decision makers, and policy makers from NGOs, Ministries/Public Administration Institutions, bi- and multilateral development partners, Think Tanks, Universities, private firms, as well as parliamentarians from all over the world, especially from developing countries.

Although the context of IPDET is development evaluation, it is not limited to that perspective as most of the participants work in their countries in different organizations in different positions in the field of evaluation; some have already quite a lot of experience and knowledge in evaluation, some have none.

In 2020 the program will be conducted in 3 weeks. First week Core Course (July 06 - 10, 2020), followed by two weeks of workshops (July 13 - 24, 2020).

For the 2020 program we are aiming specifically at integrating south perspectives, a more diversified faculty (by gender, age and region) and current developments in the field, as well as approaching different target groups with different knowledge and experience in evaluation (evaluators, commissioners, policy makers, parliamentarians).

The Participants booking the first two weeks or the whole three weeks are invited to join an excursion to the Alps on July 11th, 2020. In 2019, participants enjoyed a fantastic day on the "Schynige Platte" 2,000 m above sea level.

For participants staying week 2 and 3 or the whole three weeks we will organize leisure activities on July 18th or 19th, 2020.
