Anna Aghumian

Anna Aghumian is a Senior Evaluation Officer at the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI), co-leading the workstream of trainings and professionalization of M&E. Prior to joining the GEI, she was at the Human Development and Corporate Programs Unit of the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank focusing on corporate and thematic evaluations. Her most recent work includes co-leading the evaluation of the World Bank Group’s Global Convening (World Bank 2020). Mrs. Aghumian has extensive experience in international development and evaluation, and her research interests include governance, organizational effectiveness, global partnerships, and monitoring and evaluation. She regularly serves on reference groups of evaluations for different World Bank-convened global partnerships. Prior to joining the World Bank, she was the Portfolio Manager for Governance and Crisis Prevention Programs at UNDP and an economist at the International Monetary Fund. She holds a Ph.D in Government from London School of Economics.
