Brenda Barbour

Brenda is an innovative leader with a career spanning computer engineering, knowledge management, communications, and staff development. She is currently both Acting Director of Strategy and Operations and Manager of the Knowledge Management and Communications Department in the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group (IEG). In these roles, she is responsible for developing IEG’s strategic priorities and work program, and leading the IEG’s teams who deliver on evaluation capacity development, methods advice, resource management, communications, learning, IT systems, and KM.

She has a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brown University.
