Deadline for a scholarship application for the Core Course 2026 in Bern (CH): April 7, 12:00 p.m. (CEST) 

IPDET scholarships to attend the 2026 On-Site Program in Bern (CH) are made available through the generous support of GEI and Ford Foundation.

We encourage only applicants who genuinely need financial support to apply for a scholarship, as the demand outnumbers the available funds!

Please note that if you submit a scholarship application and simultaneously submit an application (as self-funded), IPDET will not consider the scholarship application.

ON-SITE SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW

Scholarship Options and Content

To match the different training needs of evaluators, the IPDET 2024 On-Site program offers a new scholarship format with two options.

Option A) for individuals with less than four years of experience in evaluation

Duration: Two weeks (July 15-26, 2024)
Level: Basic
Content:
– Introduction to the fundamentals of evaluation in the Core Course in the first week
– Two workshops to choose from the Workshop Program in the second week either to deepen content from the Core Course or to gain new knowledge on specialized topics on introductory or intermediate level

Option B) for individuals with at least four years of experience in evaluation, including those who have participated in the IPDET Core Course before 

 

Duration: One week (July 22-26, 2024)
Level: Intermediate/advanced
Content:
– Two workshops to choose from the Workshop Program to gain new knowledge on specialized topics at the intermediate/advanced level.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory criteria for scholarship option B)

The applicant must:

  • be a citizen and a resident of a low-income, lower-middle income or upper-middle income country (World Bank classification). An applicant must be residing in an eligible country at the time of the submission; otherwise, the application will be indisputably rejected;
  • have at least four years of experience in the field of evaluation;
  • have no other funding available to cover the tuition fees.

Scholarship applications must be submitted online via the IPDET online application form. Applications via email will not be considered!
