Stephen Pirozzi
Stephen Pirozzi has over 30 years of professional experience in both international development and the private financial sector. He is currently a Senior Operations Officer in the World Bank’s Fragility, Conflict & Violence (FCV) Group, where his primary focus is supporting the implementation of the World Bank’s development agenda for countries affected by fragility, conflict, violence and forced migration. Much of Stephen’s 17-year career with the World Bank and IFC have centered on designing strategic approaches, tools, guidance material, and training to help project teams maximize the development effectiveness and impact of their projects. He also serves as an operational trainer within the World Bank and regularly teaches sessions on designing project theory of change, results frameworks and M&E plans. He has trained over 1,000 World Bank staff. Stephen holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an MPA in Public Policy & Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where he concentrated on urban economic development and policy analysis. He earned his BA in Political Science from New York University.
