IPDET 2020 Mini-Series
The IPDET Mini-Series consisted of seven 90 minutes online events that were designed for IPDET Alumni as well as IPDET newcomers, interested individuals in the field and especially decision makers who wanted to participate to get insights on the role of evaluation in times like these.

The “Evaluation Globe” Project is an in-depth investigation into the institutionalization of evaluation in countries around the globe. In this session, the results for Europe and the Americas will be presented. Based on these insights, the question arises, if evaluation has failed in a crisis like COVID-19, although the degree of institutionalization of evaluation has raised in the past years.
How do decision-makers get the information on what works or not? How to use evaluation for their decision-making? How to be better prepared in times of a crisis? These and further key questions will guide a vibrant discussion on the role and use of evaluation in the current time.
More than 4000 professionals with diverse backgrounds from all around the world have enhanced their evaluation capacities and enlarged their network through IPDET. In this Mini Series, the stage belongs to 2 alumni who share how they could apply their acquired knowledge in their practical work, what are remaining or new challenges (also in the light of COVID-19), and how they cope.
