Evaluator at the Competence Center for Evaluation Methodologies, DEval

Alexandra Köngeter is an evaluator at the Competence Center for Evaluation Methodologies of the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval). At Deval, Alexandra is working on thematic evaluations in the areas of climate, energy and environment. Prior to joining DEval, she worked as an advisor on mainstreaming ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and as a visiting researcher on carbon insetting at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Nicaragua. She studied geography (B.Sc., M.Sc.) and economics (B.Sc.) in Heidelberg, Santiago de Chile and Bonn, focusing on environmental economics, health economics, development policy and geographical development studies.

Courses and workshops

II-f: Evaluation of climate change and development

Based on current concepts, frameworks, practical examples and interactive group work, this workshop covers methods and tools for evaluating climate finance and development impact, including evidence syntheses, advanced case studies analysis, vulnerability assessments and geospatial evaluation.
