Dirk Hoffmann is an evaluator with the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval). At DEval, he works on Evaluation Capacity Development and is part of the Focelac+ project in Latin America and the Caribbean. Before joining DEval, Dirk worked numerous years in development cooperation including as a consultant, advisor, integrated expert, and GIZ staff. He obtained his first degree in Latin American studies from the Free University of Berlin and his master’s degree in environmental science from the Humboldt University of Berlin. His expertise encompasses climate change and SDGs, protected area management and international climate policy.
CLOSED II-f: Evaluation of climate change and development
Based on current concepts and frameworks, practical examples and interactive group work, the workshop covers methods and tools for the evaluation of climate finance and development impact, including evidence reviews, SDG evaluation, advanced case studies analysis, vulnerability assessments and geospatial evaluation.
